About Susanna Goodrich
I am a Gestalt Therapist, Trainer and Supervisor with consulting rooms in Crows Nest. I specialise in working with individuals across the adult lifespan (16years+).
I understand that every person’s situation and the way they respond to their situation, is unique. I believe that the process of exploring a person’s circumstances, together with that person’s unique way of responding to them, is a key to change and recovery. As we gain understanding and awareness of ourselves, we also gain acceptance, choice and the opportunity to live with more vitality. I endeavour to meet my clients in this unfolding process with respect, honesty and compassion.
I have been practicing for over 20 years and have worked in a variety of settings including private clinic, community health, psychotherapy training and supervision. I have extensive experience in drug and alcohol rehabilitation, working with anxiety, depression (including ante and post natal depression), trauma and relationship issues. I am a member of PACFA and GANZ (Clinical Member).
I have been training psychotherapists and counsellors in Graduate Diploma, Masters and Bachelor programmes since 2005.
In 2012 I completed a Masters Degree focusing on developmental theory, neurobiology and how they inform clinical practice.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in the corporate realm as a lawyer.
Apart from my roles as a mother and partner, I am an enthusiastic meditator and reluctant cross-fitter.
